In the 13th century, Rus was divided and on the brink of collapse under the onslaught of the Golden Horde's Khan Batu, who mercilessly attacked cities and spilled Russian blood. Despite little resistance, one warrior challenged the invaders. Young Ryazan knight Evpaty Kolovrat led a group of brave men to avenge his love and his homeland. His bravery astonished even Khan Batu, and his name became immortalized in the people's memory as a legendary hero, whose feat has endured through the ages.

The majority of the movie was filmed in a chromakey studio, which required extensive set extensions, FX simulations, weapons, injuries, and more. We were inspired by this project and worked with full dedication, in collaboration with Main Road Post studio, to develop outstanding shots and visual effects.
